June Andronick

June contributed to seL4’s original verification and now leads organisations supporting its continued development and adoption. Commercial product teams and researchers use the kernel as a foundation for systems that need strong security guarantees. This combination of proof engineering and community leadership helps make rigorous software assurance available beyond research, with verification results credited to the collaborating teams.

June Andronick is the CEO of Proofcraft and serves as CEO and Treasurer of the seL4 Foundation. As a co-founder of Proofcraft, June previously led the Trustworthy Systems group and was a Conjoint Professor at UNSW Sydney. Early contributions to the original verification of seL4 helped establish a rigorous foundation for software assurance, proving mathematically that the microkernel meets its formal specification.

At Proofcraft, commercial verification projects, advisory services, and support bolster seL4-based systems. June also guides the foundation overseeing seL4’s development, supporting the open-source community around the code and proofs. The kernel serves commercial products alongside ongoing research, with Proofcraft continuing to extend verified guarantees: in 2026, the company completed security proofs for seL4 on 64-bit Arm processors. Together, these technical contributions and organisational leadership connect verification research directly with the practical demands of building trustworthy software.
