Dietrich co-developed daleq4py, released in August 2026, which compares independently built Python wheels using explainable equivalence rules. Its published evaluation examined 12,180 PyPI releases and established equivalence for many source-equivalent rebuilds that differed byte for byte. The tool, source code and evaluation extend supply-chain assurance beyond trusting a package registry or source repository alone.
