Artem Govorov

Artem created and sustained Wallaby.js, a commercial testing tool used by more than 10,000 companies. JavaScript and TypeScript developers use it to see test results, errors and coverage within the editor while making changes. This immediate feedback helps developers investigate failures in context and understand the effects of changes without repeatedly switching away from the code.

Artem Govorov is the founder and chief executive of Wallaby Team, based on the Gold Coast, Australia, and the creator of Wallaby.js. Launched in 2015 to run JavaScript and TypeScript tests continuously as code is typed, the tool integrates into editors including VS Code and JetBrains IDEs to display test results directly beside the code, reducing the gap between making a change and understanding its impact.

Wallaby.js executes only the tests affected by an edit, updating results and code coverage in real time. Debugging tools allow developers to step forwards and backwards through execution and inspect values to diagnose faults quickly, while recent additions supply live test results directly to AI coding assistants. Alongside development of the core platform, Artem maintains open-source resources on GitHub, including starter configurations combining Wallaby with React and TypeScript to help teams embed fast, continuous feedback into daily engineering workflows.
