Why Aleisha Amohia is in the Luvo 100

Aleisha combines Koha development with testing, quality assurance and release-maintenance support for software used by libraries. That combination connects new changes with the checks and ongoing care needed for dependable day-to-day services. Training, presenting and community leadership add a valuable knowledge-sharing dimension, supporting both the use of open-source platforms and participation in technology.

About

Aleisha Amohia is Rōpū kohinga Technical Lead at Catalyst IT in Wellington, New Zealand, developing and maintaining Koha, an open-source library management system, and leading technical work on library and collections platforms. The route into software began with Catalyst’s Open Source Academy in 2014, followed by a developer internship and part-time work alongside school and university.
