Why Aaron Hodder is in the Luvo 100
Aaron has helped create places for New Zealand’s testing community to learn through WeTest and NZTestingConf, alongside conference speaking and writing about testing and communication. These contributions serve testers and the wider software quality audience, including developers, designers and researchers. Test coaching and advocacy for inclusive workplaces also draw attention to the working conditions and collaboration that support good software quality.
About
Aaron Hodder is a software tester and test coach at Kiwibank in Wellington, New Zealand. Earlier test coaching at Assurity Consulting involved supporting testers and development teams through improvements to working systems, practical skills and safe working environments, linking software quality to the conditions that help people thrive.
Within the wider community, Aaron co-founded WeTest (the Wellington Testing Workshops) alongside Katrina Clokie, and co-founded and compères NZTestingConf. Presentations at KWST, STANZ and TiCCA19 explore context-driven testing, while the Adventures of TestKiwi blog examines testing approaches, communication and team collaboration.
Through the Inclusive Collaboration Campaign, Aaron champions neurodiversity in the workplace, pairing coaching with community initiatives to examine how teams collaborate effectively.
